If you are looking for a dachshund puppy on the internet, you will find most that most breeders will ship puppies to anywhere in the United States. The cost is somewhere around $300. If that is what you want, fine, we won't argue with you about it, but we won't do it.
Subjecting an 8 week old puppy (or any age for that matter) to being transported in the cargo hold of an airliner is, in our opinion, not something that should be done unless absolutely necessary. Just wanting a puppy from another part of the country doesn't justify putting a puppy through that kind of stress.
If you want one of our puppies---- are the kind of person or family who can, and will, provide a great home for a dachshund puppy----- and you don't live in Wisconsin---- we can probably work something out. I am willing to drive a fair distance to deliver a puppy. We could meet halfway if you are too far. You could pay for a roundtrip airline ticket for me, and I would take the puppy in the cabin with me. (actually probably not much more money that the $300 dog only shipping---maybe less)
