1.This dachshund puppy is guaranteed to be in good health to the best of our knowledge. The puppy has been vaccinated with ____________ on ____________, and de-wormed with ____________on________________ and _________________.
2.Buyer is strongly urged to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours. (Sassy Doxies is not responsible for any vet bills, future liabilities, or any other expenses incurred by, or for the puppy, after purchase)
3.This puppy is guaranteed to the original purchaser, for one year against hereditary/genetic disease. If the puppy is found to have a serious, life threatening, hereditary/genetic defect, the puppy may be returned for a replacement puppy of equal value, provided the purchaser, at their expense, provides written documentation from a licensed veterinarian regarding the diagnosis of the genetic defect within fourteen days of the diagnosis. Sassy Doxies reserves the right to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice to have the diagnoses verified. Sassy Doxies will determine the value of the puppy and will attempt, as closely as possible, to provide a replacement puppy of similar value. The color, pattern, and markings of the replacement puppy are not guaranteed. Every effort will be made to match the sex. Cash refunds will not be made.
4.Minor health problems that can be cured by medication or surgery are not covered by any guarantee. Such problems could include, but are not limited to: diarrhea, worms, ear mites, external parasites, or stress brought on by relocation to the puppy’s new home. Also, we do not guarantee against accidents, abuse, or neglect.
5.You, as purchaser, agree that you will find a reputable veterinarian to keep this puppy up to date on vaccinations, and worming (including heartworm)
6.Puppies are not sold on a trial basis, but the puppy/dog may be returned to Sassy Doxies at any time during its lifetime if you can no longer care for it. No refunds or exchanges will be made. This Puppy/dog must never be placed with a rescue shelter, pound or any other such organization. If a situation such as this arises, you are simply agreeing to return the puppy/dog for Sassy Doxies to place in a new home. Purchasing a puppy should not be an impulsive decision, and it is your responsibility to understand that you are making a decision for the lifetime of a puppy.
7.If this puppy is purchased as a pet with Limited AKC Registration, it is understood that the puppy should be spayed or neutered, and not used for breeding. If the puppy were bred, the offspring would not be eligible for AKC registration. Entries into some AKC dog events are also restricted with Limited AKC Registration. Your AKC papers are proof that your puppy is a pedigree puppy. It is not necessary to register your puppy with the AKC unless you wish to. The litter is already registered with the AKC. Should you desire, at a later date, to change your Limited Registration to Full AKC Registration with breeding and all show rights, it is possible to do so with some puppies, and in some situations. Sassy Doxies would need to approve of this change, and would require a fee of $300 to make this change in your puppy’s AKC registration.
8.Whether your puppy is purchased with Full AKC Registration, or with Limited AKC Registration, we make no guarantee as to the adult size, conformation, color, pattern, fertility, or trainability.
IF YOU HAVE READ THIS THOROUGHTLY AND AGREE, A $200 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO HOLD A PUPPY. The remainder must be paid in cash, or a Postal Money Order on or before the pick up date or when the puppy is 8 weeks old, whichever comes first. There are no refunds of deposits unless something happens to the puppy while in our care. NO EXCEPTIONS.
